About SPIN
We believe that bikes can expand your mind.

They unlock new places, new skills and new friendships. All this while having a lower impact on the planet than motorised travel! Put simply, we think that access to bicycles is an essential part of modern life, and that everyone should have the opportunity to see that for themselves.
Vision To lower the barriers to cycling , promote active travel, and foster a sustainable culture of re-use for cycling and outdoor adventure gear.
Mission SPIN is a Community Interest Company, which aims to serve the local community by: — Making cycling as affordable as possible. — Raising confidence to ride and maintain bikes. — Promoting the re-use, repair and recycling of used bikes and outdoor gear. — Provide solutions to make more non-motorised journeys possible.
Objectives — To run a programme of bike donation, refurbishment and affordable re-sale. — To offer training in bike maintenance to volunteers, and offer the public a community space with a workshop, tools and tuition for hire. — To facilitate the re-use, re-sale and recycling of used cycling and outdoor goods. — To engage with local schools to offer cycling-based education, and support existing programmes where we can. — To offer opportunities for local children to grow up feeling engaged with the landscape of the Cairngorms National Park. — To create a network of fellow stakeholders with a shared vision of cycling in Strathspey and beyond. — To provide affordable hire of cargo cycles for the local community.
